News: November 2017

Beer Importer Cave Direct has revealed plans for a new on-trade venture.

The company is opening a taproom, bottle shop and blendery in Hackney Wick, London, in January 2018, and is seeking crowdfunding of at least £50,000 to support the refurbishment of the building, an old book store.

The 3,000 square foot site will offer cask and keg beers, provide a physical version of Cave Direct’s online presence, Beer Merchants, with more than 700 beers available, and serve as a school of excellence in beer service and cellarmanship, offering training in beer sommelier and cellar skills.

The company also plans to begin blending Belgian and other sour beers at the site.
