Charles Wells Launches ‘Wandering Brewer’

News: October 2017

Bedfordshire’s Charles Wells brewery has launched a new project called Wandering Brewer.

The project sees the company’s head brewer, Ian Jones, working in collaboration with other brewers on a series of new releases. Twenty-two brewers are lined up to be part of the scheme over the next two years, with one beer a month scheduled. Customer feedback on the beers will help shape the decision on which beers will be produced once Charles Wells opens its new brewery in 2019.

The first beers to be released are Wet Pale Ale (3.7% ABV) and Wild Special Ale (4.3%), both brewed in conjunction with Buckinghamshire’s XT Brewing. They are now on sale at Charles Wells pubs. The next collaborations are with Bristol Beer Factory and Nottingham’s Castle Rock.
